Ayurvedic Natural Facelift Massage
An Ayurvedic Facelift Massage is a wonderful way to rejuvenate your facial appearance, without invasive procedures such as Botox, fillers or plastic surgery. Based on Ayurveda principles, an ancient Indian holistic medical system, this anti-aging treatment can help reduce wrinkles and expression lines, leaving you with a fresher, more radiant appearance.
By manipulating your Marma Points, or energy points, an Ayurvedic Facelift Massage will help to rebalance your body. The stimulation of your circulation, lymphatic flow and nervous system will also promote the regeneration of healthier, younger looking skin. Using a delightful combination of warm, aromatic oils and gentle strokes, not only will your skin be left feeling soft and revitalised, but you will find this relaxing experience also improves your general well-being.
Whilst a single, or one-off treatment can do wonders for special occasions, to gain the full benefit of the procedure, a course of 6 weekly treatments is recommended. Following this initial course, on-going monthly treatments will help you maintain the exceptional benefits of your Ayurvedic Natural Facelift Massage.
What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is the ancient holistic medical system from India, which has been practised for more than 5,000 years. Ayurveda means ‘science of life’, from the Sanskrit words ‘ayu’ meaning life and ‘veda’ meaning science, and it is based on achieving physical and mental harmony with nature.
Ayurveda is now acknowledged by many leading scholars as the mother of medicine because Ayurveda principles have influenced the development of Chinese, Greek and other traditional medical systems.
According to Ayurveda, each person’s mind and body reflect the natural elements of space, air, fire, water and earth, in differing proportions. These elements combined, form the Ayurvedic Bio-Physical Body Types, called the Doshas.
Once you know your Doshas, you can tailor your diet, exercise and lifestyle to achieve a healthy balance.
VATA
If you have a predominant VATA Dosha, your skin is likely to be dry, rough cold and thin. Such skin can be more prone to wrinkling with age and particularly sensitive to dry, windy weather. Vata dominant people tend to be thin with bony limbs and have an irregular appetite. They are often creative active and restless.
PITTA
If you have a predominant PITTA Dosha, your skin is likely to be soft, warm to the touch and of medium thickness. Your skin can be more prone to excess heat build up, causing redness through rashes, acne or other flare ups. Pitta dominant people tend to have a moderate, relatively muscular physique and a strong appetite. They are often driven, focused and ambitious.
KAPHA
If you have a predominant KAPHA Dosha, your skin is likely to be oily, soft, cold to touch and thick. Kapha skin can be more prone to low lustre and blocked pores. Kapha dominant people tent to have rounded, broad bodies and a slow metabolism. They are often patient, caring and supportive.
TRIDOSHIC
If you have all three – VATA, PITTA and KAPHA Doshas – as predominant Doshas, you are TRIOSHIC. You will display characteristics of all different Doshas.
